Bayerngas Norge is the main sponsor of “Røa Dynamite Girls”, or formally: “Røa Sports Club Female Football Team”.
Female football is the biggest sport for females/young girls in Norway. Never the less, female teams far from enjoy the attention and money seen within male football teams. Røa Dynamite Girls train and act professionally, but base their activities on amateur budgets and payroles.
The team was established in 1984 and has worked its way up the National Football Association’s classification system since 1993. They have won the series 4 times (2004, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011) and the cup finals 5 times (2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, lost the finals in 2011) and isconsidered one of the best female football teams in Norway. They have produced 16 players for the national football team. They participated in the Champions League in 2012. Røa has participated in the UEFA Women’s Cup several years. They reached the quarter finals in 2009 but were then beaten by the German team TURBINE Potsdam.
