Bayerngas Norge strengthens its position on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

(Oslo January 15th, 2013) Bayerngas Norge has today been awarded 7 licenses in the Awards in Pre-defined Areas (APA). The awards support the ambitions of the company.
Bayerngas Norge was today awarded 7 new licenses of which 1 as operator. The company is very satisfied with the awards. The company is currently expanding its activities heavily with five fields in production, three under development and several discoveries under planning.

Bayerngas Norge is in the process of building a substantial portfolio of attractive exploration licenses and today’s award is an important step in the right direction. The company is particularly satisfied with the award of 1 license as operator and aim for operatorships in the exploration, development and production phase.

Before today’s awards the company had 54 licenses of which 35 in Norway, 13 in the UK and 6 in Denmark. With today’s awards the company has 61 licenses of which 1 as operator in the UK and 2 as operator in Norway.

The long term ambition of our shareholders is to strengthen the position on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and secure access to gas.
