Drilling on Albert has started
Drilling has started on the Albert prospect in the northern North Sea near the Snorre field.
Operated by Lundin Petroleum the 6201/11-3 Albert prospect well is being drilled 65 kilometres (40 miles) north-west of Snorre with the Bredford Dolphin semi-submersible in PL519.
Albert is being targeted to test Cretaceous and Triassic sandstones. The operation is scheduled to last up to 53 days depending on discovery.
