Production start Oselvar
Bayerngas Norge has four fields in production
The Oselvar field is the fourth producing field for Bayerngas Norge. The other producing fields are Volve, Trym and Vega. Later this summer Bayerngas Norge will have the Clipper South field in the UK in production as well. In addition Bayerngas Norge is participating in the developments of one field in Norway, one in Denmark and one in the UK.
-The Oselvar field constitutes an important part of our portfolio on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. We have had a constructive cooperation together with the operator Dong, and the field has been developed in line with plan and budget. The Oselvar field will contribute to an anticipated daily production in 2012 of 15 000boe/d says Arne Westeng, managing director of Bayerngas Norge.
The Oselvar field is in block 1/3 in the Southern part of the North Sea approximately 250 km from the Norwegian coast. The sub-sea template is tied back to the BP operated Ula field, located 23 km to the North-East. Bayerngas Norge holds a 30 % participating interest, while the operator Dong holds 55% and Noreco 15%.
Total estimated reserves are 50 million barrels oil equivalent equally split between oil and gas. Initially production will start from two horizontal wells. The third well will come into production before summer. Oselvar is expected to produce for 20 years.
